I know that the greatest of all forces, powers, and anything else that is in existence is love. I remember that the greatest example of that love is Jesus Christ.

God in Flesh? In faith I say yes.

The sole God who is sovereign love? In trust I say yes.

The same God which exercises self-control in allowing freedom for that which he has made — loving us in self-sacrifice? In faith I say yes. I believe.

Love is patient, kind, forgiving, not privy to envy. It exorcises jealousy for anything that is not right, and anything that is not inviting to the heart of God. This I have seen and know.

It does not keep track of wrongs. It rejoices in the truth. It vibrates unto tender spirits such as it is itself.

Maybe it is not how much we know of love that makes us effective in it. Perhaps it is how much we can accept of it that decides how much of it we can enjoy. Both in the presence of God and people.

Love disavows control. It never uses sleight to gain the upper hand. It does not implore and impose itself in fear in order to gain something wanted.

It gives, and it is. It flows from a shared heart from within our souls and God’s.

I am committed to the dance before me with God and life.

God is too.
